This project held special significance for Wha Out Builders, as it involved working for close family members. The project entailed extending a straight gable relocatable home by an additional 40m² to expand the living and kitchen areas. The roof was designed to be carried over the deck, supported by three large posts and timber beams, reflecting a traditional marae aesthetic. Additionally, the house is oriented to face Whiria Pa, a culturally significant site in the Hokianga Harbour. Additional to the house we also constructed a pole shed supplied through ITM.
